What keeps you going isn’t some fine destination but just the road you’re on, and the fact that you know how to drive. You keep your eyes open, you see this damned-to-hell world you got born into, and you ask yourself, “What life can I live that will let me breathe in & out and love somebody or something and not run off screaming into the woods?”

Welcome. I am so glad you’re here.

Considering therapy is an act of bravery. The most beneficial therapeutic experiences are made possible because the client and therapist are well suited for each other. It allows for the therapeutic space to feel safe and facilitating. When people feel truly heard, magic happens.

Maybe you’re feeling stuck and longing for movement, maybe you’re putting the pieces of a life back together, or maybe you are just allowing yourself to be heard, held, and supported. Whatever your reasons for starting this process, I’m glad you’re here.

Services

Individual Counseling

There are a million good reasons to seek individual therapy. Some of the most frequent concerns that I work with are anxiety, relationship distress or attachment, trauma (including religious trauma), growing feelings of depression, feeling stuck in life, navigating grief and loss, stabilizing from transitions, needing to understand and explore different facets of your identity, family of origin dynamics, feelings of shame, and feeling directionless or stuck, to name a few.

Individual counseling sessions are your time to seek healing, reflection, insight, and understanding. Whether you have specific goals you are hoping to accomplish, or you’re looking to include therapy in the flow of your life’s routine, I offer a safe and constructive place explore, grow, and heal.

Couples Counseling

Our romantic connections have the power to impact every part of our world. Sometimes we run into issues that despite our best efforts, we can’t seem to make progress or come together on, or what worked for a relationship at the start is no longer serving its participants. Whether you’re looking to repair a rupture, reconnect or navigate life transitions, or improve upon what’s already good, I work with all types of couples to help move your relationship forward while honoring all its members. My couples work is LGBTQ and poly-knowledgable. All types of couples are welcome.

Infertility Counseling

Whatever compels us to build a family can be powerful. Not being able to act on your desire to create the family that exists in your mind and heart can be a debilitating pain. It can impose financial struggle, loss of friendships, relationship stress, and feelings of immense grief. I have expertise with individuals and couples experiencing infertility, as well as experience providing counseling in a clinical setting. As much as we don’t want it to, this process can be long. Getting therapeutic support can help us put one foot in front of the other and aid us in creating balance through the process.

Groups are dependent on the number of requests received. Learn more.

INSURANCE

While I do not bill insurance directly, I can provide monthly statements for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Check with your insurance provider about your benefits.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

The total amount you will spend on therapy is dependent on how many sessions you decide to schedule. There is no required number of sessions, and we cannot anticipate how many you will feel you need to reach your goals. We recommend an initial intake session, followed by a 50-minute session weekly or every other week.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Please make sure that your provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
